The meaning of Salvadori flowers

29 March 2019

Spring is finally here!

The blue sky, the warm rays of the sun and first buds on the trees, gardens and parks in the city filled with hundreds of flowers and the windows of our stores blossoming with two extraordinary spring collections: “Rosa Moceniga” and “Sole di Cambogia.”

The Rosa Moceniga jewellery collection, with its simple and elegant petals hand crafted one at a time, features this rare flower originating from China and discovered in the Venetian hinterland in the ancient rose garden of the villa belonging to the Mocenigo family, from which it takes its name.

In the symbolism of flowers, the Rosa Moceniga preserves all the meanings of its species, acquiring new ones from its history and essence.

The person who gives this flower wants to celebrate the spontaneous beauty, rarity, and noble soul of the person receiving it.

The Sole di Cambogia collection is the second flower that populates our windows this spring. The main feature of this jewellery collection is the exotic and delicate frangipani, which also  attests to our commitment to the Actionaid project in Cambodia.

This flower was given to our designer Marzia Pendini on her arrival at the Actionaid village by a young Cambodian girl. In the language of flowers, it symbolises beauty and simplicity.

Particularly in the East the frangipani is synonymous with immorality and rebirth because it blooms even after the branch has been cut.

Come and discover all the beauty and elegance of these precious flowers in our Stores!
